Walters Power Participates in Pakistan Gas Plant Dedication

OKLAHOMA CITY (March 29, 2004) -- Former Okla. Gov. David Walters traveled to Pakistan to participate in the ground breaking of the construction of the longest LPG/NGL extraction plant in Pakistan on March 16.

Expected to produce 450 tons of LPG per day, the Jomshoro Plant is being developed and will be operated by the Hanover Company of Houston, Texas.

Walters Power is an equity partner in the plant along with the Associated Group of Lahore, Pakistan, a longtime business associate of Walters Power.

Walters spoke at the widely publicized ceremony, along with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Minister of Oil and Gas, an executive of Hanover, and the Associated Group.

Walters congratulated Pakistan officials on their foreign investment programs noting the significant jobs and improvement in quality of life that would result from this plant, which will represent over $30 million in investments. The next phase is expected to be the development of a significant power plant utilizing the stripped gas from the extraction plant.

Walters said, “I appreciate the opportunity to do business in Pakistan. Their economy continuous to develop and become more sophisticated creating many opportunities for U.S. firms particularly energy related firms.”
